A Crazy Year!

We have been so busy this past year that I really haven't had much time to keep everyone updated on what has been going on with our family. Last July we moved back to Utah from Louisiana, and Ryan got a job here at Discovery Academy. It's a boarding school for troubled teens. Ryan likes it there and is a great counselor! Three nights a week he is working at a substance abuse clinic. So, he has been really busy! He is thinking of going back to school to become a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I think he should go for it! We'll see soon how things fall into place with that.
In November of last year I was put on bed rest at 32 weeks along in my pregnancy. Anyone who knows me would know I have a really hard time not keeping busy. Of course, thinking of the health of my baby was my motivation to stay put in bed :) At 35 weeks exactly, on Dec. 18th, I woke Ryan up and told him I would drive myself to the hospital. I was having contractions that kept coming faster and stronger. My doctor and I decided to go ahead with a C-section. So, a few hours later that morning our third boy, Jacob Edward Judson, was born at Orem Community Hospital. He wasn't breathing very well. They had to transport him to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where they had better equipment to take care of him and his needs. It was hard b/c I had to stay at Orem Community that night without my baby. Then I was transfered to UVRMC. Jacob stayed in the NICU through Christmas and came home on New Year's Eve. He was on oxygen and a heart monitor for two months at home. He is doing great now and will be a year old soon :) He is crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on everything. He is cutting his first tooth this week.

Tyler and Evan had a little bit of a hard time getting used to being in Utah, but it has been great for them to be here around all of their cousins. Ryan's family is quite a bit bigger than mine to say the least :) Tyler is in first grade now and Evan in preschool. Tyler is taking Spanish this year and music. His Spanish is coming along great! He is learning so fast. I have to help him with his homework, and he corrects me all of the time :) Tyler and Evan are making lots of friends in the neighborhood and have been to lots of fun birthday parties and school events. Tyler's school does a carnival every year. It's really fun!
As for myself, I have pretty much been busy being a mom, which I love!!! I have three beautiful boys. What more could I ask for :) My focus now needs to be on getting rid of the extra weight from having a baby :) I am still working from home. Ryan and I went to the annual convention in August for the company that I work with. It was fun to just go with my hubby and the baby (he's still nursing, so he had to tag along). I have been looking for a night job around here at a hospital or an after hours instacare clinic, but not too many jobs come up here in Utah for those late hours (the only ones I can work with having three kids). I love the medical field and like to keep up to date on my training :) I joined the PTA at Tyler's school and volunteer as much as I can. I love that a lot of parents are involved in helping and making a difference at Tyler's school. He goes to a wonderful school. It's important for children to see their parents involved at their school. That has pretty much been our last year in a nutshell :) Well, I'll post more later. The baby is starting to wake up from his nap.
